AVA 4.1 - New features & Innovations
Building on the 4.0 milestone release, AVA 4.1 now marks the beginning of the new structured release cycle. This release continues to build on all the latest development and advances in technology bringing you significant performance, speed and improved stability, plus new features quicker than ever before!
New Quick Colourways templates
AVA 4.1 sees the welcome return of Quick
Colourways templates, incorporating a new file
format, making it easier than ever to save and
share layouts.
With improvements in stability, embedding and
extra graphic tools plus the ability to lock/unlock
objects, Quick Colourways is now, more than ever
before, a much smoother user experience.
Smoother, quicker brushing
AVA 4.1 sees a marked improvement in brush
speed and smoothness. In our tests AVA 4.1
brushes are significantly more fluid than in
previous versions, with less delay and stagger
upon live screen updating.
Combine to Layer using
selections
Users can now use Combine to Layer with
an active selection, allowing combinations of different
areas of design info to be added onto a new/relevant
layer. This welcome enhancement was much
requested by AVA users who continually need
to manipulate or combine colour information
from layer to layer.
Colourway Browser enhanced
Since the Colourway Browser launch in the huge
AVA 4.0 release, we have been working hard to
improve the functionality of this already practical
feature. Users can now swap, edit and manage
colourways easier than ever before.
Design window toolbar
AVA 4.1 sees the addition of a customisable
toolbar in the Design window. The
toolbar already includes many essential
functions which users will be able to
utilise straight away, with an open
option to request for more.
Easier AVA installation and
configuration AVA 4.1 introduces an easier, more automated
way of entering your installation code. Valid
AVA customers with a constant broadband
connection can now simply click once, and
their installation code is inserted into the Set
Install code application from the AVA Server,
automatically.
Picker colours with
customised transparency
Users of the AVA Multiview picker can
now customise the transparency level of
chosen picker colours using the additional
transparency slider.
In-RIP Spot printing
In AVA Digital Print RIP, configuring and
printing of additional pre and post colour spot
layers has been merged into AVA Digital Print
RIP. The new method is simplified so users
need not access the separate AVA Spot Printer
application any more.
